Dialogue is not celebrated as the workhorse of fiction, but much can be achieved with minor word change spoken by a character. A story is foremost action; although you can accomplish almost everything with dialogue.
"Judy. Run!"
"Judy, I told you to run."
"Judy, why did you run?"
"Judy..."
